PBS Board terminates John Bundy’s employment – Charles Dalli appointed Acting CEO
The Public Broadcasting Services Board has appointed engineer Charles Dalli as the Acting CEO of the Public Broadcasting Services (PBS).
This results from the day’s Board decision that the employment of CEO John Bundy be terminated with immediate effect. Both decisions were taken during a Board Meeting held today.
A PBS Board Statement said the company’s auditors who had been commissioned to investigate alleged irregularities in the awarding of PBS contracts were also in attendance.
The statement outlined the decision had been taken because Bundy had failed to follow important procedures according to the company’s procurement policies and this was a breach of the obligations regarding the procedures of a public entity.
The acting appointment of engineer Charles Dalli will remain in effect until the appointment of a new CEA for PBS.
