Government states the President has not approved Presidential Pardon requested by Vince Muscat

The Government has said the President, on the recommendations of the Cabinet, has decided not to approve the Presidential Pardon requested by Vince Muscat, one of the three persons standing accused of the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia with a car bomb in October of 2017.

A Government statement said the Cabinet had followed on the advice given by the Attorney General and the Police Commissioner.

Sources told the news centre that Vince Muscat, known as “Il-Koħħu” was requesting the Pardon to give information on the murder of Caruana Galizia as well other serious criminal acts.
