Traffic Policeman takes a turn for the better

Traffic Policeman Simon Schembri who yesterday was very grievously injured as the victim of a hit-and-run traffic incident for which youth Liam Debono has been arraigned in Court has taken a turn for the better and is now in a stable condition.

Although he has been taken off live-support machines he is still in the Intensive Care Unit.

This morning Debono was arraigned in Court where the 17-year-old youth from Tarxien was charged with the attempted murder of a Policeman. In total he is facing 23 accusations to which he made a plea of not guilty. Court ordered he be detained under arrest.
