Minister Bartolo augurs that in Libya there will no longer be attempts by some to feather their own nests

The Minister for Foreign and European Affairs, Evarist Bartolo, expressed his hope that Libya will no longer be dominated by persons seeking to feather their own nest.

He made this remark during a meeting held in Luxembourg with the Libyan Foreign Affairs Minister Najla Al Mangoush.

Minister Bartolo is in Luxembourg attending a meeting of EU Ministers Responsible for Foreign and EU Affairs.

Together with the Libyan Minister they discussed the situation in Libya with Minister Bartolo recalling the spirit of Omar Al Mukhtar who had given his life for a free and united Libya.

During the meeting between the EU Ministers, Minister Bartolo urged that relations between the EU and Arabian Gulf countries be strengthened. He insisted that peaceful diplomatic relations are preferable to violent confrontations with these countries.
