PD requests Adrian Delia to nominate Philip Micallef for legal conformity

The Partit Demokratiku has called for the Leader of the Opposition Dr Delia to nominate Philip Micallef to serve on the Commission Against Corruption. This follows the Prime Minister’s reply that legally the nomination of Micallef as a representative of the Opposition cannot be accepted because the nomination has to come from the Leader of the Opposition.

The PD said as far as they are concerned it is not important as to who makes the nomination but it is essential that this happens so that this drive against corruption is able to function.
