Prime Minister says the document regarding the concession of three hospitals was not found

In a comment made to Television Malta, Prime Minister Robert Abela said that the missing document indicated by the Auditor General Charles Deguara in his report regarding the Government’s contract with Vitals Global Healthcare was not found.

Earlier this week Dr Abela had stated that that he was not satisfied with the findings reported by the Auditor and insisted that if the document exists he will ensure it will be given to Deguara. The PM said a distinction has to be made between Vitals Global Healthcare and Steward who took over the management of the three hospitals from VGH. He said that discussions with Steward Healthcare are still ongoing.
