UPDATE: Charlene Galea is safe and sound

A Maltese woman has returned home safe and sound after she had been missing for a considerable while and relatives began asking for any information about her whereabouts.

Charlene Galea, who is 34-years-old, yesterday said she was off to Gozo with her friend. It was at 1.50 in the morning when she made any contact with her friends.

From then onwards her mobile and that of her friend who accompanied her to Gozo were turned off.

Her brother Stephen told TVM this was not normal because she continually communicated with their mother and wherever she goes she always ensures her mobile’s battery is fully charged.

However, in recent hours Charlene returned home.
