This evening: Final debate between the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition

A day before the end of the current electoral campaign, the Prime Minister and Labour Party Leader, Joseph Muscat, and the Leader of the Opposition and Leader of the Nationalist Party, Adrian Delia, met face-to-face for the second and final debate of the campaign.

The debate was organised by the Broadcasting Authority, and as is the custom, brought to an end the series of electoral campaign transmissions. The debate was prevailed by politically civil discussion, without interruptions from either speaker and with both Leaders airing their arguments while repudiating each others’ arguments where necessary.

The debate was recorded in the early afternoon at PBS studios and took one hour and was chaired by PBS journalist Mario Xuereb who asked a number of questions about various aspects of the campaign. The debate will be transmitted on TVM, Radio Malta and tvm.com.mt at 8.50 pm.
