Immigrant arrested after fight with bottles under Marsa bridge

A considerable number of immigrants at Marsa have been involved in a fight, which allegedly included the use of glass bottles. The fight took place under Marsa bridge.

On-site witnesses told tvm.com.mt that the incident occurred shortly after 1.30 p.m., and a number of Police officers from the Rapid Intervention Unit and District Police rushed to the scene.

tvm.com.mt is also informed that a father, who had taken his son to the swings, had telephoned the Police after the immigrants started fighting. The Police appear to have arrested one person, and are holding others for interrogation, including one woman.

Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
