Imprisonment for Libyan who stole handbag at Paceville

Libyan national Mohamed Rajab Ali Alsagheer was condemned to nine months in prison after admitting that in the beginning of last month he stole a handbage from a teenager in Paceville.

The case occurred on the 7th of February in the afternoon, at Saint Augustine Street, when it was revealed in Court that the Libyan stole the handbag containing a mobile phone worth €600, €80 in money cash and other personal items of the female victim.

After hearing the early admission of guilt by the accused and that the victims had the stolen objects returned, Magistrate Joe Mifsud condemned the Libyan to nine months in prison and ordered that the time he spent in prison is reduced from the sentence.
