Death of “The Times of Malta” Assistant Editor, Ivan Fenech

The death has been announced of 55-year-old Ivan Fenech, the Assistant Editor of “The Times of Malta”.

For a number of years he was involved in the satirical programme “Aħn’aħna jew M’aħniex” in which he played the part of Ċukaj.

Ivan fell ill in the “The Times of Malta” newsroom yesterday evening.

During the 80s he was a journalist with the newspaper up to 1997. He then joined the Planning Authority before relocating to Germany for some years.

In 2013 he returned to Malta and rejoined the newspaper as its Assistant Editor.
