Man of Maltese descent dies in head-on collision in Australia

Matthew Micallef, a man of Maltese descent, died in a tragic road incident in Kurnell.

It seems that 35-year-old Micallef was driving his vehicle when for some unknown reason he ended up on the opposite track of the road and slammed into a truck.

Eye witnesses said the truck driver had no means of avoiding the collision despite his efforts and as reflected by the road brake marks.

The truck driver and those who witnessed the incident received a strong shock and had to be taken to Saint George Hospital.

Police are investigating the tragic incident.
