In tears while recounting the trauma he experienced when he was sexually abused

Although time passes by, the trauma experienced by victims of sexual abuse drags on their whole life. This was stated by Lawrence Grech who this morning spoke on TVAM on the need of amendements in the prescription law, in particular in cases of minors’ abuse.

Mr Grech was abused when he was a boy and said that when he married and had children, he realized the emotional and psychological damage he suffered. He expressed sorrow that he and his friends, who were victims of sexual abuse by monks, have been appearing in Court for some 15 years.

But what hurts him most and will he forgive those who abused him? Watch his reply in this short excerpt of the TVAM programme.

You may again watch today’s TVAM programme on TVMi – TVAM is broadcast from Monday to Friday on TVM and TVMi from 7am till 9am.
