Gabin, together with his brother Ruben and their father Xavier, yesterday went to St Paul’s Bay, near the Primary School, on a late summer visit and found a precious object.
The Le Roux family usually visit the seaside not only to enjoy the experience but also to clean up.
Gabin was collecting refuse in the area when he found a brass ring as if by way of a reward from nature for the dedication and respect they show to Malta’s natural elements.
When talking to TVM, Xavier La Roux said his children and he feel the need to carry out cleaning in bays to keep the environment clean by clearing away discarded refuse strewn there.
Xavier said his children and he feel despondent when they see the environment has been dirtied with dumped refuse and they have often encountered problems when they chastise other people for discarding refuse when they ask them to clean up.
He said however, that incidents like yesterday’s give them satisfaction and that he is greatly proud of his children.
Xavier Le Roux urged the public to follow his example and to join the group ‘Malta Clean Up’ as they often tour bays and villages to clean up the refuse left behind by others. For further information check out this Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/315987838596769/
