New CT Scanner inaugurated at the Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health, Chris Fearne, has inaugurated a new CT Scanner that will enable 70 sessions daily at the Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre. This is on an investment of €0.5 million cofinanced by the International Agency for Atomic Energy.

During a media conference Dr Fearne explained that this scanner will provide better and more advanced care for cancer patients. He said this investment joins an additional €60 million being used for cancer medicines as part of the Government’s itinerary.
