An Indian Court in Delhi has found five men guilty of raping a Danish woman in 2014. The sentence is expected to be handed down on Thursday. The 51-year-old tourist was robbed and raped on 14 January.
The tourist had lost her way when she was returning to her hotel in the Paharganj zone, and asked some men to direct her.
Nine persons, including three minors, had been arrested for the crime. One of the accused died in February. The minors are undergoing separate proceedings in a Juvenile Court.
Following the rape and murder of a student on a bus in Delhi in 2012, action against sexual violence in India has been increased. Despite this, however, sexual attacks against women and children are still reported from all over the country.
