Malta’s recovery rate from Covid-19 among the best in Europe

The rate of recovery in Malta from Covid-19 at 23.2% is being rated as among the highest rate of recovery in Europe.

This follows today’s announcement that a further eight patients have recovered with the total of recoveries now standing at 99 from the 426 infected.

With 73.4% Iceland has the highest recovery rate, followed by Austria with 69.6%, Germany 59.9%, Switzerland 59.8%, Denmark 53.1% and Spain 39%.

The rate in Italy is 25.5%, France 23.3% and Belgium 22.5%, similar to the rate of Malta’s recoveries.

However, these figures may be influenced by various factors including methods of testing to ensure full recovery as well as the time duration when the pandemic began to spread in the country.
