The Madonna Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary in Gozo will be teaming up with major places of Marian Sanctuaries throughout the world and will participate in the recitation of the Holy Rosary which will be led by Pope Francis from the Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto in the Vatican Gardens. This will be transmitted directly tomorrow on TVM2.
Saturday, 30th May is the day when Pope Francis was scheduled to visit the Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary but the visit and pilgrimage had to be postponed because of the current pandemic. The Pope will now recite the Holy Rosary from the Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto in line with his wishes this be linked with other major national sanctuaries.
Pope Francis has called for the recitation to be a plea to Our Lady to intervene worldwide against the pandemic. As at that time the Pope should have been visiting Ta’ Pinu, the Gozitan Sanctuary, it has been invited with leading Marian Sanctuaries to participate in the recitation.
Public Broadcasting Services and Centro Televisivo Vaticano will be collaborating for the recital to be transmitted worldwide and this transmission may be viewed on TVM2 tomorrow at 5.30 pm. PBS, CTV and Radio Vaticana have an audiovisual agreement that was signed by Padre Federico Lombardi as the Director of the Media Office at the Holy See and PBS Chairman, Dott Tonio Portughese.
