Italian journalist Nadia Toffa loses battle to cancer

Italian journalist Nadia Toffa has died at the age of 40 after losing her battle to cancer.

Toffa will be remembered for her popular programme Le Iene. It was the programme’s Facebook page which announced her death. Messages of condolence from thousands poured in.

Toffa had been battling brain cancer since December 2017. She had been operated on and the tumour completely removed but unfortunately after a few months the cancer was back.

She continued to take part in the programme but in May could no longer continue because of the treatment she was undergoing.

Despite her illness, she remained positive and courageous till the end.
