John Zammit, who was run over at Għaxaq, succumbed to his injuries

The 63-year old man who was hit by a vehicle at Għaxaq two days ago has succumbed to his injuries during the past hours.

TVM is informed that the victim is John Zammit from Marsaskala.

Zammit was hit by a vehicle at the bypass leading towards Gudja while he was crossing the road to his van, as he had stopped to buy food.

Police investigations on the case are ongoing. This is the first traffic fatality of the year.
