Jordan Azzopardi’s “employee” held under arrest

A young man who was arrested following an anti-drug raid prior to the arrest of Jordan Azzoarpdi is being held under arrest after pleading not guilty to drug-related charges.

Ramirez Vella, 20, from Tarxien was arraigned in Court charged with possession of cocaine and heroin which he was carrying while he was close to a school.

Vella was one of the people arrested on 7 March in the raid of a house in Blata l-Bajda. During the raid, the Police found drugs as well as a large amount of cash.

In Court, the accused chose not to reply when the Court asked him what his job was.

The defence team, led by Arthur Azzopardi and Dr Alfred Abela did not request bail.
