Keep yourself physically active for a healthy heart

Daily walking or physical activity may help to keep a healthy heart and avoid heart attacks caused when the heart finds difficulty to pump blood.

This emerged in a study published by the Heart Failure magazine issued by the American College of Cardiology. The study says that between 30 to 45 minutes of physical activity a day may reduce the risk of heart problems by 9%.

The Buffalo University study was conducted among over 137,000 women aged between 50 and 79. Heart attacks mainly affect elderly persons due to high blood pressure and diabetes.

Experts said that those who are active physically protect their hearts more from these problems. The intensity of the physical exercise is not important and walking is also good to protect the heart.
