Kind-hearted Zabbar volunteers distribute masks, deliver groceries to the elderly and vulnerable

Everyone loves their food. The elderly and those who are vulnerable especially in these extraordinary times, are probably not even leaving their homes to do their own shopping so their stock of food is probably dependent on their loved ones or other people who can help them on a volunteer basis.

Over the last few days, the Għaqda Madonna tal-Grazzja Banda San Mikiel in Zabbar has catered for this sector of the community and a number of volunteers began disturbing free masks.

The altruism and solidarity,  especially at this time, have been considerable. Apart from masks,  this group has also given a helping hand by delivering groceries with help from the Malta Food Bank Foundation.

In a statement on Facebook, the group said that apart from the festive atmosphere, one feels that one is doing one’s part because to get rid of this pandemic as soon as possible, we all have to pull the same rope.
