KNŻ: Sixteen-year-olds should vote in general election

During a sitting of the youth Parliament, the President of the National Council of Youth (KNZ), Michael Piccinino, suggested that teenagers from 16  years upwards should be allowed to vote in the general election.

In the session which is being led by Deputy Speaker Censu Galea, Mr Piccinino asked for the committee which was set up by the Government in agreement with the Opposition after the last general elections, to meet more often, as it has not met in seven months.

During this session, other proposals were made to help young people who have some kind of addiction, as well as to launch informal educational activities for students. Proposals were also made to have a sports complex at each locality.
