Operations to resume on Monday – Outpatient directives to remain

Scheduled operations will resume being carried on Monday but directives regarding Outpatients will remain.

This was stated by MAM in an official statement after updated information given by the Minister for Health, Dr Chris Fearne, regarding new measures to be taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

MAM stated that although it does not agree with all measures by the Minister, a resumption of operations will begin for the sake of patients.

The Association continued to urge Government to enforce quarantine regulations and to take actions against those who breach regulations, while it will adopt all regulations published by the Public Health Superintendent.

It said it does not approve of the interference being pressured on the work being carried out by the Health Superintendent because parties of 300 persons are still being allowed.
