Launch of Premju Soċjetà Ġusta

The Premju Soċjetà Ġusta for this year has been launched with five categories. The Parliamentary Secretary for the Disabled and Active Ageing, Anthony Agius Decelis, stated that the intention behind this award is to celebrate acquisitions by individuals and organisations who support a culture for more rights for the disabled, whilst also giving due recognition to those who work for a more inclusive society.

The Commissioner for the Rights of the Disabled, Oliver Scicluna, will head the selection board. Mr Scicluna stated that with the passage of time, more nominations are being received for this award. Apart from the Premju Soċjetà Ġusta, there are other awards – for lifelong acquisitions in the sector for the disabled; for efforts to improve the rights of the disabled; for active participation in sport, art and culture; and an award for the company operating in an inclusive way.

Applications close on 15 November.
