Leader of Maltese Patriots Movement resigns

Moviment Patrijotti Maltin Leader Henry Battistino has said that he would resign in the wake of the European Parliament election results.

Writing on Facebook, Battistino said that the Party he loved was defeated and that he would shoulder responsibility by resigning.

Simon Borg and Naged Megally contested on behalf of the Maltese Patriots Movement, obtaining 577 and 194 votes respectively – a total of 771 votes (0.30%).

Henry Battistino is a Local Council candidate in Hamrun.
