He cannot celebrate Valletta’s League Championship

Court has prohibited Bjorn Grima, who is being accused of having destroyed the St Publius festive arch, from celebrating Valletta’s League Championship win. This follows the Advocate General’s appeal to the Magistrates Court that the accused should not be allowed bail.

The Appeals Court rejected the AG’s appeal by stating it was not a case warranting the re-arresting of the accused but said that the Magistrates Court hearing had failed to impose certain conditions attached to bail. Thus, the Appeals Court presided by Judge Consuelo Scerri Herrera ordered that Grima is prohibited from celebrating Valletta’s Championship celebration.

He was ordered not to go out between 22.00 and 07.30.

Defence Lawyers Franco Debono, Marion Camilleri and Amadeo Cachia argued that at this point the Court has no concrete proof against Grima.
