“Malta deserves better” – President George Vella

President George Vella has appealed to all to seriously consider what may result from their actions.

In a message to the nation broadcast this evening, President Vella said he has discussed the gravity of the current situation with many people. He said this has caused him great concern with particular emphasis on the MCESD social partners who he met today.

In his message the President once more appealed for calm and for all to be aware of the responsibilities they carry for their actions. He appealed for a calmer environment, distanced from spontaneous actions so as to consider the circumstances through which the nation is passing and to unite without considering faces to see that institutions do their work and Justice is achieved.

Dr Vella said this is the only course to ensure a return to normality before the damage that has been done to the country in so many spheres, also including international spheres, becomes irreparable. He ended by saying that Malta deserves better.
