Malta given good points marks in country freedom ranking

With a total of 91 points Malta has classified as being one of the countries most enjoying freedom throughout the world in a report issued by the international agency, Freedom House.

Malta was given maximum points in the generic calculation of freedom, following by positive points for civil liberties and placed third in political rights.

The top points of 100 went to the Nordic countries Finland, Norway and Sweden.

Other countries ranked the same as Malta were Costa Rica, The Bahamas, Lithuania, The Czech Republic and St Vincent Islands.

EU countries France, Italy, Greece and Poland were attributed fewer points than Malta.
