A group of students from the secondary school at St Benedict’s college in Kirkop have won the European eTwinning 2018 competition.
The students took part in the project called ‘eDUCATE – Learning by playing’ which consisted of training by drama teachers in Italy, UK, Malta, Spain, Greece and Germany with the aim of helping the students to strengthen their vocal skills.
Using theatre methods, the project was intended to also create more cultural interest in the students while training them in entrepreneurial skills and European values.
In the first phase of the project, which was co-ordinated by Rodianne Haber, a number of activities were held about the European Cultural Patrimony 2018. Apart from this, in May there will be theatre workshops held in Germany.
Another part of the project included the development of an e-book with basic theatre methods which are crucial for the theatre studies curriculum.
