Man arrested after assaulting three people in Msida

A 20-year-old Senegalese man living in Msida was arrested after allegedly assaulting three people in Msida.

In a statement, the Police said that at around 11.30am they were informed that a woman and a man were both assaulted in Ċensu Farruġia Street while another man was attacked in Valley Road

Police said that the investigations carried out showed that the alleged aggressor first attacked a 36-year-old woman resident of Msida, while she was walking.

At that time, a 38-year-old man, also from Msida, was passing by and stopped his car to stop the man, as a result of which he too was assaulted.

It turned out that the aggressor continued on his way toward Valley Road and attacked a 67-year-old man, St Julian’s.

Police from the Rapid Intervention Unit went to the scene, where a search was carried out. The alleged aggressor was found and arrested whereupon he was taken to Msida Police Station for further questioning.
