Man arrested in connection with burnt down St. Publius arch

After days of investigation, yesterday evening the police arrested a man in connection with a burnt down historic arch in Floriana, used to celebrate the feast of St Publius.

TVM is informed that the 33 years old man is from Valletta and was identified after thorough analysis of CCTV footage in the area.

The incident took place between the 27 and 28 April at about 1.30am and as a result four cars caught fire.

The arch was erected in St Thomas Street corner with St Publius Street.

The man is expected to be charged in court later today.
