UPDATED: Man jailed for three-and-a-half years for sale of false documents
Palestinian Hamada Wajeeh Mohamed Taha Almobayed, aged 39, was sentenced to three-and-a-half years’ imprisonment after admitting he had helped or given advice to persons wanting to enter the country illegally.
The man was arrested after weeks of investigations and observance on the sale of false passports and residence permits to enable persons to enter or leave the country. He was arrested yesterday by Police in Sliema and a search resulted in finding an amount of cash.
The Court hearing was presided by Magistrate Charmaine Galea.
