Man arrested on suspicion of thefts from elderly woman and various outlets

The Police have arrested an Iraqi national on suspicion of his involvment in a number of thefts and frauds.

The Police said in a statement that besides being under suspicion as being behind cases of fraud and burglaries from a number of outlets, the man will also be charged with theft from an elderly woman in Hamrun.

The man is to be arraigned before Magistrate Caroline Galea later today. More details to follow.
