Man drives over police sergeant’s foot and keeps going

It was a normal evening’s work for members of the police force and health services on duty last night, except for one particular  incident.

Last night, a man drove over the foot of a police sergeant in St Julian’s.

tvm.com.mt is informed that the man was stopped by the sergeant and when  he was asked for his identification papers, the man drove off.

At this point, the vehicle ran over the sergeant’s foot, causing him slight injuries.

The man was arrested this morning at Kordin.

Police sources said that the man has a pending court case and is out on bail.

He will be brought to Court in the next few hours.
