Man fled to Malta after abusing 15 children in UK

A former police officer and children’s football coach fled to Malta after sexually abusing children over a period of 40 years, after he was found guilty by a British Court and was waiting to be sentenced.

Stephen Walker fled to Malta where he lived for several years under a false name before returning to the UK in 2019.

Walker, who is now 68, carried out the abuse between 1960 and 2007, although it was only in 2018 that he started being investigated by the British police.

British media reports said that he not only abused children in England but even in Malta and France.
