UPDATED: Worker in danger of dying after construction site fall

A 32-year-old Bangladeshi national who lives in Gzira is in danger of dying following a two-storey fall at a construction site. The accident occurred at about 8.15 a.m. in Depiro Street, Sliema.

An ambulance was summoned to the site and transferred the worker to Mater Dei hospital for treatment. The man was later certified to be suffering from injuries of a grievous nature and is in danger of dying.

Magistrate Marseann Farrugia was notified and appointed a number of experts to assist in an inquiry. Police investigations are ongoing.
