Man grievously injured in Sliema fight

An argument in Sliema between three men resulted in one of them being wounded.

According to the Police, the men – a 38-year-old resident of Birkirkara and two men aged 41 and 23 years respectively and residing in Gzira, were involved in a fight in Cathedral Street.

The incident occurred this morning at about 8.30 a.m., when Police were called to intervene. A medical team from Mater Dei was also summoned to the scene. One of the men, the 38-year-old, was transferred for treatment to hospital, where he was certified to be suffering from grievous injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
