Man out walking sustains grievous injuries in three-vehicle collision

A Pakistani national who was out walking sustained grievous injuries as a result of a collision involving three vehicles.

The accident occurred in Mdina Road, Ħaż-Żebbuġ at about 7.45 a.m.

It results from initial investigations that a collision occurred between three vehicles – an Isuzu Elf driven by a 36-year-old resident of Ħal Qormi, a Honda motorcycle driven by a 45-year-old Italian national, a resident of St Paul’s Bay, and a Mazda Demio driven by a 40-year-old man, a resident of Ħal Qormi.

As a result of the impact, a Pakistani who was walking in the area was hit and sustained some injuries.

A medical team rendered first aid and an ambulance transferred the victim to Mater Dei Hospital, where he was certified to be grievously injured.

Police investigations are ongoing.
