Woman hospitalised after motorcycle-vehicle collision in Triq tal-Barrani

An Italian woman has been hospitalised after riding pillion on a motorcycle that collided with a vehicle just outside Tarxien. The collision happened at about 6pm this evening in Triq tal-Barrani.

Police stated that preliminary information is that of a collision between a Ford Fiesta driven by a 50-year-old Brazilian and an Imco Agility motorcycle driven by an Italian.

The Italian woman riding pillion suffered injuries in the collision and was conveyed to Mater Dei Hospital in an ambulance but her condition is not yet known.

TVM is informed the woman is 26 years old while the 25-year-old Italian motorcycle driver was also lightly injured.
