Matthew Pace does not show up for PA meeting on Townsquare project

Planning Authority Board member Matthew Pace, was not present for today’s meeting in which the board will be discussing the application for the Townsquare project in Sliema.

Last week the Court of Appeal ruled that Mr Pace had a conflict of interest in the decision on the application for the DB project in Pembroke, and it therefore revoked all the permits for this project which now has to be submitted from scratch.

Over the last few days, the PM Joseph Muscat said that following the Court’s decision, Mr Pace should resign from the PA board.
