Head of nurses at Mater Dei says they do not need applause

A stern message was posted on social media by the head of nurses at Mater Dei Hospital who strongly condemned those who today decided to leave their homes despite all the messages to stay indoors by the Health Authorities.

He said that instead of Good Friday processions, Malta today witnessed processions of people going to beaches and the countryside to lap up the sun.

Head Nurse Paul Buttigieg said nurses do not need applause or songs … all they are asking for is that people observe the directives of the Health Authorities.
