Mgr Mario Grech publishes book to mark Marian year

The publication entitled “Don’t be afraid to take Mary home with you’ consists of more than 40 letters, homilies and speeches which Bishop Mario Grech wrote or preached in his sermons during the last year which, in the Gozo diocese, was dedicated to Mary.

The publication consists of 250 pages and over sixty colour photograph of Marian images and 40 articles dedicated to religious, pastoral and spiritual themes.

Bishop Grech is renowned for his homilies because he gets his message across in a way which is practical and easily understood.

The book entitled ‘Do not be afraid to take Mary with you’, is taken from the Gospel of Matthew when the angel spoke to Joseph and told him not to be afraid to take Mary, who was expecting a child.

“When I compiled these Marian reflections based on our beliefs, where I did not only try to take notes but also to help Marian devotees get closer to Jesus because Mary, as a mother is welcoming even when her children are naughty and Mary is a disciple. ”

The teaching of Mgr Grech collected in this book addresses contemporary issues and realities and propose measures which, like a good medicine can heal social scourges.
