Not guilty of animal cruelty after warding off dogs that entered his farm

A Rabat farmer has been liberated from all accusations that he opened fire on the dogs of neighbours. The incident happened three years ago in November when dogs tried to enter the farm where he breeds chickens.

Carmel Dimech had been accused of animal cruelty with Magistrate Claire Stafrace Zammit saying the accusations did not make sense because the accused was protecting his animals and fired warning shots after all his efforts to disperse the dogs had failed.
