Ministers and deputies play football – who won the game?

Cabinet ministers and deputies from both sides of the House of Representatives this morning joined together to participate in a football match in aid of Puttinu at the Marsa ground.

The match was played between a Labour Party team and one from the Nationalist Party, whose players were dressed in black and blue sporting shirts respectively.

The Labour Party team was the first to score and eventually won the game 3-1.

Scorers for the Labour Party team were Silvio Schembri, Alex Muscat and Aaron Farrugia, while David Agius was the scorer for the Nationalist Party.

A spirit of friendship prevailed among the players during the game aimed at raising funds for Puttinu Cares in its bid to purchase apartments in central London.
