Two new Covid-19 testing hubs to begin functioning tomorrow

Tomorrow will see the opening of two further Covid-19 swabbing hubs located at Pembroke and Xemxija in Gozo.

This was announced by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister through a statement which said the two hubs will be additional to the Ħal Farruġ hub already in operation. This will enable an increase in testing and the identification of further persons testing positive to coronavirus and thus help to contain the spread.

The new Malta hub will be at the Pembroke Luxol Grounds and like the Ħal Farruġ hub will be open from 08.00 to 20.00 seven days a week.

The Gozo hub at Xewkija’s terminal helipad will also open seven days a week but between 08.00 and 14.00.

All those having symptoms should ring 111 and not go voluntarily to the hubs because these will only accept people by appointment. It is also important that public transport or the use of a taxi is not used or that people walk to a hub.
