Forecast of turnover of 6.5 million passengers at airport during 2018

Malta International Airport (MIA) is forecasting that this year a record number of 6.5 million passengers will pass through the airport.

This was announced during a media conference following MIA’s account of the six million passengers who passed through the airport last year. This will mean that in the current year passenger turnover is expected to increase by between 7 and 8% and will thus be another record year.

This year’s Summer Schedule will see the introduction of 16 new routes and thus increase the number of destinations flown to and from to 100.
