MUMN directives affect babies’ parents – proposals presented on midwives rosters

Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Dr Chris Fearne said that Mater Dei’s management had presented new proposals in connection with the midwives’ rosters.

He was speaking following questions by journalists on MUMN directives which are prohibiting fathers of new-born babies from spending the night in hospital with the mother and child.

MUMN issued the directives recently following an industrial dispute in connection with changes to midwives’ roster.
