In a statement, the MUT said that every decision taken by the Union keeps in mind the heath and safety of students, educators and families.
In a reaction to the news that a judicial protest was filed in Court against the MUT and the UPE in light of the delay in connection with the reopening of schools, the Union said that this decision was taken by the Education Minister and was endorsed by the MUT.
In a statement, the Union said it had called on independent schools to adopt government measures regarding the opening of schools and Covid-19 measures. Despite keeping in touch and contacting each school separately, the MUT said it never imposed decisions on these said schools.
The Union said that the schools had kept the Union informed with the arrangements made by them, which were welcomed after seeing that there were no disagreements with members.
The Union stressed that it had done its duty to safeguard the health and safety of educators, students and families through the social dialogue it had created with authorities and schools.
With regard to online learning, the MUT said it was clear from the outset when the pandemic broke out, where it agreed with the parameters of online learning, after several discussions with schools.
